Art - Young African

Skule Waksvik,1992

The sculpture, also called the elephant baby, was made in 1980. It originally stood in Danielsveita, but when the shopping mall Trondheim Torg was completed in 1992, it was moved into the mall. Apparently, there is also a cast copy in the city of Abidjan on the Ivory Coast. The elephant has become an easily recognizable meeting place, and as evidenced by its shiny polished parts, also a popular place for children to climb
