Queen Maud's Memorial University for kindergarten teacher education (QMMU) is the only university in Norway that has its main focus on kindergarten teacher education. If you wish to work to protect children's needs and rights, as well as to make children's perspectives visible in society, then this is absolutely the school for you
There are around 1400 students at QMMU, divided into several bachelors in kindergarten teacher education with several exciting subject combinations as well as four master's studies within kindergarten management, kindergarten knowledge, children's culture and art education, and special education.
The college offers three different courses for international exchange students. The two bachelor courses give you experience, insight and knowledge about everyday life in Norwegian early childhood education and care institutions. QMUC also offers a course at the master’s level: Workshop in Art Studies. To read more about the different courses, please visit QMUC’s pages here: dmmh.no
If you are a student from institutions with an exchange agreement with QMUC, you pay no tuition fees. Students from other institutions pay a fee of NOK 10,000. Please see QMUC’s page dmmh.no for more information on this.
