Jon came to Trondheim with one plan and found something else waiting at the edges. What started as a chance way into student life became a much bigger lesson in what can happen when you stay open to the unexpected.

A race car moving through one reality while the driver sees another. A thousand-year-old story rebuilt with new tools. Breach has spent a decade making the difficult part work, usually before there is a rulebook for how.

A year after we first met the students behind tomatosharp, we went back to see what became of their slightly unlikely idea. Turns out, giving craftsmanship, curiosity and a good set of sharpening stones a little room to grow can lead somewhere interesting.

Freider came to NTNU for an engineering degree and got a little sidetracked by Orbit, SpaceX, and the small matter of building a national network that is already shaping the next generation of Norway’s space industry.

Sixteen years in Copenhagen, stages across the world, and eventually a return to where it started. Along the way, the rooms changed, the collaborations multiplied, and the music kept finding new places to go.

Between lectures, exams, and long days, a couple of students built one of Trondheim’s sharpest small businesses, proving that student life here can be a place to start something real.
